Order protection · Beta

Judge the order by the visit behind it.

Skyfense connects each Shopify order to the storefront session that produced it. Risky orders are flagged for review, tagged, or stopped before payment, using the same evidence that protects the rest of your store.

BLOCKLIST MATCHES

Email domain, phone number, and customer name.

From checkout to review

Correlate it.
Flag it. Act on it.

01

Match order to visit

Order webhooks become privacy-safe summaries, linked back to the session that placed them, so behavior, device, and network evidence sit beside the order.

02

Apply your blocklists

Block by email domain, phone, or name. A match marks the order high-risk, with optional auto-tagging or auto-cancelling through the Shopify Admin API.

03

Review in one place

The Order Protection page lets your team review, cancel, or tag orders and export a CSV.

Before the order exists

Stop it at
checkout.

A Shopify Function checks the same blocklists during cart validation. The request is verified, and a blocklisted checkout is rejected before payment, so there is nothing to cancel or refund.

Skyfense also fires Shopify Flow triggers for high-risk visits and high-risk orders, and offers a Flow action that tags an order for review. Your own Flow workflows can then notify staff, hold fulfillment, or add tags.

Triggers are deduplicated for 24 hours so one bad actor does not flood your workflows.

Order protection questions

What merchants ask before trusting automation with orders.

Is order protection available now?

It is in beta for Shopify stores. Order sync, review, and blocklists work today. The checkout block and Flow extensions are installed with your store setup and activated with our team, so they are switched on together rather than automatically.

Does Skyfense cancel orders on its own?

Only if you turn it on. By default a matching order is marked high-risk for your review. Auto-tagging and auto-cancelling are optional settings.

What customer data is stored?

Order webhooks are stored as privacy-safe summaries, and you choose how long records are kept, from 30 days to 2 years. A daily job removes anything older.

How is this different from Shopify’s own fraud analysis?

Shopify reviews the order. Skyfense also knows the visit behind it, so an order can be judged by how the shopper behaved, not only by what they entered.
